2024 Annual Meeting
The Heritage Center’s 2024 Annual Meeting and Dinner will be held Friday, March 15, 6:00 pm, at Lindale Mennonite Church (6255 Jesse Bennett Way, Linville, VA 22834). You are invited to attend!
At this year’s Annual Meeting we will celebrate the Heritage Center’s 25th Anniversary! We look forward to an evening of good food, fellowship, singing, reflection, and visioning for the future. Enjoy a homestyle meal catered by Marjorie Shank, and a presentation from Carl Bowman on the Heritage Center’s history and development!
The menu for the meal will be:
Salisbury steak with mushroom gravy (local beef)
Turner’s country ham
Gourmet potatoes
Green beans
Creamed corn
Garden salad
Oatmeal bread with homemade butter and jam
Assorted pies (cherry, blackberry, rhubarb, pecan, pumpkin, shoofly)
Iced tea and coffee
Thanks to the generosity of a few anonymous donors, the expenses for the meal will have already been covered—so all of the funds raised at the event go directly to support the ongoing mission of the Heritage Center!

2023 ANNUAL MEETING
The 2023 Annual Meeting of the Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center featured good food, fellowship, singing, reflection, visioning for the future, and special music provided by singers from Pilgrim Christian Fellowship. The meeting and dinner were held at Mt. Olive Brethren Church in McGaheysville, VA.
2022 Annual Meeting
The 2022 Annual Meeting of the Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center was held at Park View Mennonite Church. It featured an address by John Jantzi, Shenandoah District Executive Minister of the Church of the Brethren, titled “Then and Now.”

2021 VIRTUAL ANNUAL MEETING
The 2021 Annual Meeting of the Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center was held virtually. It featured an address by our new Executive Director, Sam Funkhouser, titled “A Heritage Center on a Hill.”

2020 ANNUAL MEETING
The 2020 Annual Meeting of the Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center featured hymn singing, pies, laughter, reflection, homestyle corn, and presentation about Mennonite Central Committee’s centennial year from Alain Epp Weaver. The meeting and dinner were held at Harrisonburg First Church of the Brethren in Harrisonburg.

2019 ANNUAL MEETING
The 2019 Annual Meeting of the Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center featured hymn singing, pies, laughter, reflection, homestyle corn, unveiling of the new name and logo, and an address from long-serving board member Carl Bowman. The meeting and dinner were held at Community Mennonite Church in Harrisonburg.
