The work of the Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center (BMHC) is made possible through the generous support of volunteers and donors alike. Our incredible team of 300+ volunteers contributes over 1,000 hours each year to further the mission and work of BMHC. We invite you to participate with the Valley Brethren-Mennonite Heritage Center through prayerful support, financial contributions, and gifts of time and energy as a volunteer.

Volunteers serve in many capacities for VBMHC:

  • serving as tour guides for visitors

  • appearing in period costume or serving as guide for field trips

  • staffing the Sing Me High Music Festival

  • completing outdoor work, landscaping, and building maintenance at the Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center, Breneman-Turner Mill, or Hildebrand Mennonite Church

  • assisting with secretarial jobs, such as scheduling donor visits for the Executive Director

  • assisting with office tasks, such as stuffing envelopes, cleaning bathrooms, and helping with data entry

  • taking photographs of events and the campus and buildings at different times of year

  • serving on one of the various committees that advance the work of the heritage center

  • and much more.
