Worship in the Woods is the summer vespers series of the Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center. Join us Sundays at 7 PM from July 3 through August 14 in our beautiful, outdoor, wooded amphitheater!
On July 24 Christopher "Todd" Crowder, pastor of Maurertown Brethren Church, will provide the meditation. Todd considers himself foremost as a servant of the Lord Jesus Christ, expositor of his Word, and servant to his church, and as called to unite in love and encourage in the Spirit. He is a husband to his beloved Celeste, father to two sons, Jeremiah and Jedidiah, and grandfather to Noah (11), Parker (4), and Idabelle (3). Todd was trained primarily at Bethany Theological Seminary, and is dually ordained in the Brethren Church and the Church of the Brethren.
Special music will be provided by group of acapella singers from the Southeastern Mennonite Conference.
This service with be the debut at Worship in the Woods for both our speaker and our musicians, so we hope you'll come out and worship with us!
Please bring your own lawn chair for seating. An offering will be taken to support the ongoing mission of the Heritage Center. Parking is available in the field at the top of our hill. Golf cart assistance is available for those who wish it; if handicap parking is needed at the bottom of the amphitheater, please request it when you arrive.
In case of inclement weather, the service will be moved to the Log House and parking signs will be relocated to that area.
