Worship in the Woods is the summer vespers series of the Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center. Join us Sundays at 7 PM from July 3 through August 14 in our beautiful, outdoor, wooded amphitheater!
This week the Mt. Pleasant Mennonite Youth Chorus will lead our time of worship together.
The Mt. Pleasant Youth Chorus re-forms every spring and performs through the summer. It sings at a variety of locations including local churches and retirement communities. Every other year it takes a trip to New York City and does an evening program at the Bowery Mission, a homeless shelter for men.
This year, we plan to host the Chorus in our amphitheater, weather permitting. Please bring your own lawn chair for seating. An offering will be taken to support the ongoing mission of the Heritage Center. Parking is available in the field at the top of our hill. Golf cart assistance is available for those who wish it; if handicap parking is needed at the bottom of the amphitheater, please request it when you arrive.
Please note: in case of inclement weather, the service will be held at Weavers Mennonite Church (2501 Rawley Pike, Harrisonburg). If the service is moved to Weavers, we will announce this change via email and Facebook on Sunday afternoon.
