The Soil and The Seed Project: Ordinary Time Concert

  • Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center 1921 Heritage Center Way Harrisonburg, VA, 22801 United States (map)

In the church calendar year, Ordinary Time is the season between Pentecost and Advent. Hosted by The Soil and The Seed Project in the serene natural beauty of the amphitheater at the Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center (rain location: Harrisonburg Mennonite Church), the free ORDINARY TIME CONCERT SERIES is for KIDS, FAMILIES, and EVERYONE seeking a beautiful place to listen to beautiful music that helps us all recognize God in the ordinary.

The Soil and The Seed Project (TSATSP) is a community-supported ministry of the church working for spiritual renewal—in individuals, families, and communities—through beautiful, creative resources that help us together turn towards Jesus in the ordinary moments of life. On June 28, join a host of musicians from The Soil and The Seed Project to sing, dance, and learn from the Sermon on the Mount. Released in May 2025, the first installment of the Bible Memory collection from The Soil and The Seed Project focuses on Jesus’ teachings from the Sermon on the Mount. 48 of 111 verses of the Sermon on the Mount are put to music in the first set of music, and then a collection of songwriters respond in poetry, prayer, and praise through their original songs. Come sing along and hear your favorite Soil and Seed songs new and old in the beautiful amphitheater setting!

Bring lawn chairs, blankets, a picnic dinner (as you wish), and lots of friends to share the evening with, and we’ll see you there!
