Worship in the Woods

  • Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center 1921 Heritage Center Way Harrisonburg, VA, 22801 United States (map)

Worship in the Woods is the summer vespers series of the Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center. Join us Sundays at 7 PM from June 22 through August 10 in our beautiful, outdoor, wooded amphitheater!

Our service on June 22 will feature David Miller as speaker, and those present will be invited, as they are able, to join in singing from the Harmonia Sacra.

David Miller lives in Waynesboro, VA in the Shenandoah Valley. Having lived in Ireland for six years and having spent time working with refugees and teaching English in other cultures, he cares deeply about and interested in seeing God's Kingdom expand globally. David is a teacher and principal at a small Beachy Amish church school and also involved in the church as a pastor. David enjoys seeing the transformation of God's work in people's lives, flying his kite, sipping coffee, gathering eggs from his pulchritudinous chickens, and growing things.

Please bring your own lawn chair for seating. An offering will be taken to support the ongoing mission of the Heritage Center. Parking is available in the field at the top of our hill. Golf cart assistance is available for those who wish it; if handicap parking is needed at the bottom of the amphitheater, please request it when you arrive.

In case of inclement weather, the service will be moved to the Log House and parking signs will be relocated to that area.
