Worship in the Woods is the summer vespers series of the Brethren & Mennonite Heritage Center. Join us Sundays at 7 PM from July 3 through August 14 in our beautiful, outdoor, wooded amphitheater!

Please bring your own lawn chair for seating. An offering will be taken to support the ongoing mission of the Heritage Center. Parking is available in the field at the top of our hill. Golf cart assistance is available for those who wish it; if handicap parking is needed at the bottom of the amphitheater, please request it when you arrive.

In case of inclement weather, the service will be moved to the Log House and parking signs will be relocated to that area.

Our service on July 3 will feature Jan Orndorff (pastor, Sunrise COB) as speaker, with Cantore (an acapella men’s group from Park View Mennonite Church) providing special music.

Jan Orndorff is the pastor of Sunrise Church of the Brethren in Harrisonburg, VA. She comes to this position after experience as both a public school teacher and part time pastor of Sugar Grove Church of the Brethren. She has served in many positions in the Shenandoah District Church of the Brethren, and deeply desires to help people walk more closely with Jesus. When Jan is not serving the church, she is often in her flower garden. Jan and her husband Danny live in Woodstock, Virginia. She also has an adult daughter
